The King is Dead...Long Live the King! Michael Jackson, whose excellence as an artist was matched only by his eccentricity, is no more.
According to the reports, the 50-year-old international icon fell unconscious and passed away at his rented home on Sunset Blvd, in Bel Air.
"His personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate my brother," Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson said last night.
Paramedics were called at 12:26 p.m. local time and the unconscious King of Pop was rushed to UCLA Medical Center, but in vain.
"You've got to save him!" Jackson's supporters were screaming after he was wheeled into the hospital on a stretcher at 1:14 p.m., according to a leading website.
The doctors tried to rescue him but he was in full cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m.
London's Sun reported that Jackson's supporters told doctors that Michael had taken an injection of the painkiller Demerol.
"He started to experience slow, shallow breathing," a source said. "His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped. His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called, which got there in eight minutes."
Around 7 pm local time, Jackson's body, shrouded in a white sheet, was moved to the office of the Los Angeles County coroner for an autopsy today.
Jackson - who had battled addiction to painkillers and among myriad health problems - died in the midst of a comeback bid, with 50 sold-out concerts planned for London this summer.
Jackson's family lawyer Brian Oxman accused "enablers" of pushing the star too hard physically as he prepared for the tour.
Ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis' daughter, said she was heartbroken for Jackson's three children and other family members.
"I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible," she said. "This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."
Madonna said she "can't stop crying."

Nagendra Karri, a young Indian origin filmmaker has announced his 30 million USD film, named Mobster which will also be made in Hindi simultaneously.
Karri film 'Where are you Sophia?' was screened in the last Cannes Film Festival.
Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio or Russell Crowe is supposed to be playing the lead role. The Hindi version will have Aamir Khan, Kamal Hasan, Abhishek Bachchan or Rahul Bose playing the lead, as per the 26-year-old director. "We are also in touch with the agents of Eva Green for one of the main characters in the film,” said Karri. Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irrfan Khan are also playing important characters in the English version.
The shooting of the film will start in September and will have India as the main location. “I am planning to shoot in the north eastern part of India, probably Mizoram or Nagaland, which are not known too much of the world,” said karri.

The 'Terminator' star and California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, escaped an aircraft mishap in Los Angeles the other day.
Arnold was going to Santa Monica in his private jet when the crew noticed smoke coming from the cockpit. The flight made an emergency landing in Van Nuys airport. Everyone on board was reported safe and unharmed.
Arnold was cool about the incident as he gave an update in Twitter, the social networking website, saying, "A little adventure just now, when my plane made an emergency landing. All’s ok, though”.
Looks like his reel life adventures still follow the Macho hero!

Child stars of 'Slumdog Millionaire' Azharuddin Ismail and Rubina Ali narrowly escaped a fire in one of the slum areas of Mumbai, where they reside.
More than 200 slum homes were burned down and 15 people injured in the blaze, which started at very early in the morning at 4 a.m. on Thursday.
Azharuddin's home was about 30 metres when the blaze was brought under control. This popular ‘Salim’ of Slumdog Millionnaire said that they were woken up very early to the sound of explosions. The residents reported that this was due to the gas cylinders that were exploding due to the heat and this is what delayed to stop the fire.
Rubina, the little girl who played young Latika in the movie was also safe as the fire did not reach her part of the slums.

Things have not yet been sorted out for Shiney Ahuja, and he remains in the custody of the police.
The statement says that his maid was bound, gagged and raped by the actor at his residence while his wife and daughter were out of the country. Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, responsible for one of Ahuja's most successful films (Gangster), told a news channel that he was especially shocked because he worked closely with the actor. "It is a shameful act and it must be condemned," he said.
Film writers and analysts are unanimously of the opinion that even if the charges against Shiney are proved wrong, it will be very tough for him to regain his position in the industry.
However, midst all this blame and commotion, Shiney’s wife is calm and is standing by her husband, "I am proud to be his wife...I know my man and I stand by him," she told several media publications.

Kareena Kapoor walked out of the promotional event of 'Kambakkht Ishq', during the question answer session with media persons on Monday evening. She got offended when a TV journalist's asked her whether she would go nude for any film in future.
In the media session she had said, "I am open to any kind of film whether it is 'Jab We Met', 'Omkara', 'Dev', 'Golmaal Returns' or 'Kambakkht Ishq'... because all my films are different and if the script and the film demands anything - I am such an actress that I'd do anything for both the script and the film."
It was after this, one Punjabi news channel reporter asked her if she would go nude for any role.
Kareena got extremely annoyed and angry at this and she stormed out of the conference room.
The actress has acted wearing a bikini in the forthcoming movie 'Kambakkht Ishq'. But she had stated that she will not wear a bikini for any role in future.

Shiney Ahuja was arrested for allegedly raping his domestic maid. He has been sent to police custody till June 18.
The 'Gangster' star has been charged with rape, wrongful restraint and intimidation.
According to reports, preliminary medical tests confirmed that the 18 year old maid was raped. The allegation goes that Shiney also threatened to kill her.
It is said that the actor raped the maid while they were alone in his house on June 14th. His wife and child were away.
If the crime is proven, Shiney shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term, which shall not be less than seven years. The accused could also be punished for life or for a term, which may extend to ten years.
Shiney is being taken to the court today.

With these two power packed actresses around, John Abraham, who was approached for the male lead, turned the offer down, as he thought there wouldn’t be much for him to do.
John strongly felt that the beautiful ladies will steal the show, and as we know, their roles demand attention, if it is based more or less on the English movie. John, we guess is at a stage where he wouldn’t want to make a wrong move or get into an apparently insignificant character. Moreover, he is not the first choice for this role. He was approached for the same after Saif disagreed to take it up.

It seems they came to this decision, initiated by Adhyayan, in a calm and amicable manner. Adhyayan said: “Yes, we’ve moved on from this relationship . I guess this was how long it was meant to last. At this point, I really want to focus on my career and professional commitments. Sustaining a long-distance relationship of this intensity is a tough task.”
Here is what the sizzling Kangana commented: “Adhyayan and I had a talk about our relationship and it was his decision to move on. It came as a shock to me. But I guess he has other priorities now, and many options in terms of people to be with. It’s an amicable break-up and I wish him the best.”

The chapter with Barbara Mori caused quite some damage in Hrithik’s life, it has left a bitter feeling from all sides in his family. They say Rakesh was partly responsible for the tension Suzanne and Hrithik went through. Hrithik has decided to live independently and keep some distance from his dad.
It seems Rakesh Roshan does interfere with Hrithik’s decisions. When he wanted to build his muscles for a new ad, Rakesh Roshan stopped Hrithik from doing so as his next film requires a thin Hrithik. While Hrithik thought it would be good to walk the red carpet at Cannes with his co-star Barbara, his dad insisted on the fact that he should take Suzanne for the same.
Hrithik, who has been living with his wife and kids at his dad’s place has decided to move out. He basically wants to live on his own terms. One of the sources said to the media: "Now they`ve finally settled for a huge plot situated on 11th road, Juhu. It is in the same lane as Dharmendra`s bungalow. On the plot in discussion stands an old three- storied building called Husman. The Roshans will demolish the structure and will erect a bungalow in its place. The Husman building is nearly 15,000 sq ft. The deal has cost Roshan Jr nearly Rs 45 crore".

The long strike of multiplexes over clash with producers over the profit sharing ratios is finally called off. The two month long standoff was called off late in the night on Thursday June 4, 2009.
Mukesh Bhatt, president of the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) confirmed this news with media.
There was a twelve hour long meeting between the exhibitors and producers at Mumbai's Yashraj studios, and finally arrived at this long awaited decision. Film releases were held back since April 4th because of differences about over profit-sharing between film producers and multiplex owners. So folks, it’s show time again!
