The six girls Sanna, Samyukta, Ritika, Ananya, Sunanda and Rupali were selected after a grueling process that was closely covered by the hyped reality show on NDTV Imagine called Knights and Angels. They were bluntly told that the crowd preferred South African cheerleaders on the field.
The girls have also not received their payment, which will reach them only after Shah Rukh comes back from his South Africa tour. SRK tried his level best to get his girls onto the field but could not make it.

After a long search, Ram Gopal Varma has finally chosen the actor to play Paritala Ravi!

"After thinking hard on every actor both known and unknown, I have finally zeroed in on Vivek Oberoi as the most ideal choice to play Paritala Ravi. He has remarkable intensity in his eyes which I noticed in the making of COMPANY, a voice which commands attention, an arrogance in his demeanour, an enormous power in his stance, and also a certain vulnerability which makes one instantly warm up to him, which is what is needed to fit in a role of Paritala Ravi's profile.
"After a rough look-test done and when I saw the approximation of how Vivek could look like in different phases of Ravi's life, from being a rebel in the jungles to a political strong-arm man, I was absolutely convinced that my search ended."
The film is based on Paritala Ravi from Andhra Pradesh who got assassinated in January 2005. RGV decided to make it in Hindi because he felt that this story needed to reach a large audience.
“Paritala Ravi was arguably the most feared individual ever in the history of the blood-ridden faction politics of South India. He was a prime accused in innumerable murder cases and also survived numerous assassination attempts…” said Ram Gopal Varma, speaking passionately about the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan was telecast smoking on TV, during one of the IPL matches. As expected, this made the anti-smoking group turn against this.

The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) has issued a statement to South African National Council against Smoking (NACS) to ask the official broadcasters of IPL to not to telecast any footage of people or celebrities smoking.
NCAS’s convener, Peter Ucko said: “If Khan does it again we will ask the management to caution him, or we will seek his removal from the stadium....We have also asked the stadium management to make no smoking announcements through the match and during drinks breaks.”

Well, for Shah Rukh Khan, this is real tough to handle! The tension is rising with KKR not doing too well will surely tempt him to smoke…how will he handle this?!

Actor-producer-director Feroze Khan passed away on Sunday after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 69.

He will be cremated on Monday evening. Sanjay Khan, his younger brother told the media that the funeral procession would be taken out from their farmhouse to the Johnson Market Graveyard.

Feroz Khan, last seen in "Welcome", had divorced his wife Sundari 24 years ago.

He is survived by his son, actor Fardeen Khan and daughter Laila. Fardeen Khan is married to Natasha Madhwani, Mumtaz’s daughter. Feroze Khan died in his farm house on Tumkur road. He les a pretty simple life in Bangalore, and was under treatment for quite some time.

His contribution to the film industry has been great with movies like Qurbani and Dharmatma. He has been rightly honored with a lifetime achievement award in 2000.

It’s been on the news pages for quite some time that Katrina Kaif’s relationship with Salman Khan is falling apart. There have also been speculations about her friendship with Ranbir Kapoor.

It seems Katrina has asked her publicist and manager not to forward any calls or text messages to her. The team of R Balakrishnan (Balki) and Amitabh Bachchan are back together with a new project ‘Paa’. The duo had come up earlier with the unique Cheeni Kum where Amitabh plaued a 64-year-old in love with a woman of 34.

Amitabh here plays a 13-year-old who is affected by a genetic disorder named Progeria. He ages three times faster and gets old physically. Vidya Balan plays Amitabh’s mother, and guess who plays his father. Yeah! Abhishek Bachchan! The director is mum about revealing anything else in the movie. However, he will find ways to make the public aware of the disease prior to the release of Paa.

The movie is believed to be a remake of the classic which was directed Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
Gol Maal will be directed by Satish Kaushik, and of course, we will see Tusshar in a double role like Amol Palekar had done. The producer of the movie says that this is not a remake. However, we do look forward to double comedy by Tusshar in a new role of this kind.

Actress turned interior designer Twinkle Khanna was arrested by the Vakola police in Mumbai.

She was thoroughly questioned about the reportedly 'obscene' act at the Lakme Fashion Week event. Twinkle was accompanied by her lawyer, she was released on a bail.

The police frankly felt that the case might not really move ahead as it seemed weak in general. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Arvind Mahabdi said, “It was a bailable offense and we released her on a bail of Rs 950 at the police station. We are now waiting for Akshay.” Akshay was out Mumbai, but he is expected at the police station once he gets back.

The 'unbuttoning' act was supposed to be done by a model but Akshay felt better if his wife did it, so here they are!

He will be presented with this prestigious honor at the Middlesex University’s annual graduation ceremony to be held in July.
Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory situated in Chennai had plans for a joint music degree with Middlesex University. The plans have materialized and will take shape next year.
