It is said that in ‘Ravana’, the character played by Abhishek is similar to that of Ravana in Ramayana, where he has kidnapped a married woman.

Rumors say that the story goes thus that the lady, played by Aishwarya, develops a soft corner for him.
Now, the biggest issue to be foreseen here is that once people associate Abhishek’s character with Ravana of the great epic Ramayana, which is for many a holy scripture, they will surely place Aishwarya as Sita. Ram Gopal Varma better beware of letting out scenes that give room to objections. It could hurt religious sentiments too. Let’s wait and hope for the best.

We have seen this bubbly girl being the centre of attraction with some of the talked about movies recently. She was really busy all through 2008 with many projects, not just in Bollywood but with movies in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Right now she is into quite a few Hindi projects including ‘Hook Ya Crook’ with John Abraham, an ‘It’s My Life’ remake of ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ and ‘Life Partner’.
Well, what’s more interesting about her is that she is really tired of doing her ‘bubbly girl with a romantic appeal’ roles. She said, “For a very long time, I’ve been taking up old-hat roles. I would be more gleeful if someone offers me to gear up for an action packed role”.
She also added that she’s been an excellent athlete right from her schooldays and so she would probably be good at stunts!

We usually take it for granted that those who come from families with a background in movies have a cool time getting into movies. It was the same impression about Aamir Khan, as he had film personalities in his family. But, the truth is quite different…

When asked about this, Aamir revealed: “My parents were really against me getting into films. I come from a film family. My father and uncle were both film makers. And I faced hell at home. It was like there is no way you are getting into films”.
He went against his parents as he strongly believed in himself. But he had nothing against them for not letting him get into movies. “Every parent is concerned for their children. And they had been through this line and this profession is so uncertain. One day you are up. The next day you are nobody. And it is a really harsh profession”.
Thanks to this attitude and belief we have a great star and wonderful movies in the industry today.

The censor board had objected to certain scenes in the movie ‘Videsh’ based on the topic of domestic violence. They felt that some scenes that portrayed extreme violence on Preity Zinta (the main character of the story) being battered are too violent and brutal.

Director Deepa Mehta, who felt that the impact of the film will be diluted if the suggested scenes are removed, has chosen to release her film ‘Videsh’ with an “A” Certificate.
Supporting her view, CEO of BR Films - Sanjay Bhutiani says “The essence of the film is highlighting social issues and domestic violence is one among them. The Censor Board had objected to the cruelty shown in some scenes and therefore Deepa Mehta and BR Films have decided to go along with the “A” certificate which would not compromise on the creative integrity of the film”.
The film will hit the screens on March 27.
