We all knew that this award was ‘almost’ his, but just wanted to wait and watch this most awesome moment to come true. Yes, Rahman has won Oscars for his music composition in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire.

The movie won seven Oscar awards for best direction, original song, original score, sound mixing, editing, adapted screenplay and cinematography. The film was all over the place throughout the ceremony with 10 nominations.
On receiving this award, Rahman said, “I want to thank everyone. The essence of the film is optimism and hope. All through my life I had the choice of love and hate…I chose love and I am here…”

Resul Pukutty has won an Oscar for sound mixing in the most talked about film around "Slumdog Millionaire".

In the village of Vilakupara, at Kerala, everyone is thrilled at Resul`s success. His elder brother Byju Pookutty told reporters: "Ours is a typical rural village and it was only last month that our village council gave a reception after he won the British awards and people here came to know what he was doing."

"Our father wanted Resul to be a doctor but he could not clear the entrance examination for medicine. Our father was very particular that Resul become a doctor because his brother`s son was one. But Resul`s destiny was different," said Byju, who is 38 and a businessman.

On recieving the Oscars he said, “I dedicate this award to my country. This is not just an award, it is history.”

Shah Rukh Khan got admitted to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai on Monday for an operation on his shoulder. He was injured during a shoot last year.

King Khan was hurt while shooting for the movie "Dulha Mil Gaya", last December.

"Shah Rukh is set to undergo surgery later today," a spokeswoman for the hospital said.

Shah Rukh will be hopefully discharged by the end of the week. He will have to be out of action for the next one month.

He got admitted as soon as he came back from Britain after the promotional trip for his film "Billu".
