After Ghajini, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is also on a record breaking pursuit. The film has grossed Rs.185 crores worldwide so far, making it the highest grossing film for Yashraj films and Shah Rukh Khan till date.

Neither the Mumbai attacks nor the record-breaking run by it's competitor, Ghajini has affected Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's success.

So far, the film has collected Rs.83 crores net in India and have pushed Yashraj films' previous highest grosser, Dhoom:2 (Rs.80.6 net) to second position. Even 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Singh is Kinng' is behind 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' now, in terms of collection. The film is only second to 'Ghajini' now. Its great to see the Bollywood film industry progressing by leaps and bounds with films like 'Ghajini' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' amidst the uncertainities like the global economic crisis and Mumbai terror attacks.

No marks for guessing as to who can be a competitor to Aamir Khan as a perfectionist. Its the hottest hunk in Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan.

In Bollywood, where even now the senior superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, the 'Khan'dhans (Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman and Saif), Akshay Kumar etc gives the youngsters a run for their money, Hrithik is a class apart from the rest of them.

Its a known fact as to how much effort he puts in for each character he portrays. The latest in the line is Hrithik's Spanish language learning for his upcoming film 'Kites'. He had to learn a little bit of Spanish for his role in the film. But with his amazing skills, Hrithik learned the language quite well. Not just that. He started speaking to his Mexican co-star, Barbara Mori, in fluent Spanish.

A source close to him said, “Hrithik got acquainted with Spanish through his role in Kites. However he is such a perfectionist, that in no time he picked up the foreign language pretty well. It’s interesting to watch the two speak in Spanish.”

Hats off Hrithik!

It’s a very intense love story between me and my Chinese co-star, Xia Yu.”

The film's shooting will start this week in Kerala, and then it will be shifted to Kuala Lampur. The director wanted to shoor 'Desire' in China, but the permission was denied.

Shilpa portrays the life of an Odissi dancer, in the movie. She said, “I have been a Bharatnatyam dancer all my life. In ‘Desire’ I play an Odissi dancer, and I had to unlearn everything I knew about the classical dance and start from scratch. It has been quite a daunting experience.”

As Lee thundered in, suddenly sardar stood up in the crease, and signalled that he wanted the sight screen adjusted. Adjustments were made and Lee was ready to come in again.

Once again, in the middle of his run-up, sardar found something disturbing in the sight screen.

Indeed, this went on a few times before the irritated umpire, Steve Bucknor walked up to the batsman and enquired, "Where do you want the sight screen, for God`s sake?"

Santa asked, with an ounce of fear, "Could I have it between Lee and me?"!!!

One young man went for an IAS Interview.

"When did India get independence? " He was asked.

"The efforts began a few years earlier and final result was in 1947" He replied.

"Who was responsible for our independence? "

"There were so many. Whom to mention? If I name one, it will be a injustice to another. " He replied.

"Is corruption the number one enemy in our country?"

"Some research is going on the subject and I can answer with certainly only after seeing the report" He replied.

The interview board was very pleased with his original and thoughtful answers and asked him not to reveal the questions to others, since they were planning to ask the same questions.

When he went out naturally others were curious to know what was asked. He politely declined, but one persistent Santa would not leave him. "At least tell me the answers" he pleaded, and our friend obliged.

Then it was the turn of this Santa. When he went inside, since his resume was slightly illegible, the board member asked him." By the way, what is your date of birth?"

He replied, " The effort began a few years earlier and final result was in 1947."

Somewhat puzzled, they asked another clarification. "What is your fathers name?"

He replied, "There were so many. Whom to mention". If I name one, it will be injustice to another".

The interviewer was incensed.

" Hey! Are you mad or what?"

He replied. "Some research is going on the subject. I can answer with certainty only after seeing the report ."

These days Bollywood producers do anything to make the heroes happy. In the party conducted to celebrate Ghajini's success, Madhu Mantena, the producer of the film, gifted a gold statue to Aamir Khan. The statue resembled Aamir's look in the film.

"8 abs included," says Madhu. "we can see all 8 of them on the statue," he added.
The trophy would very well cost about 7-8 million.

"It has certain amount of other metal to make it malleable. Solid gold wouldn't allow the identical Ghajini shape to be done in gold. But the idea was to create an Oscar-sized statue exclusively for Ghajini. Aamir knew he was getting a trophy. But he didn't know it would be golden and with his Ghajini's look. He was overwhelmed," Madhu said.

Another statue was given to the director of Ghajini, Murudoss too. Less gold, but yes, 8 packs in place.

All the effort 'Perfectionist' Aamir Khan had put in for Ghajini is showing in all aspects of the film. If it took 10 months for Aamir to pump up his 8 packs, the film is breaking all the records in a matter of few weeks.

The latest one, Ghajini pushed arguably Bollywood's most popular film, 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' to second place by collecting the maximum amount of money in the domestic market ever by a Hindi film.

In a few weeks, Ghajini collected Rs.200 crores from across the globe.

In this, the foriegn market contributed about Rs. 39 crore. The balance, Rs.162 crore has been from the Indian market. This is of course a staggering amount considering the fact that the movie has a long way to go. Its upto your imagination as to how much the movie is going to collect in the coming days.
Whatever the other kings of Bollywood do, Aamir, 'the perfectionist' Khan rules Bollywood.

It was the so exciting while both Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma were school-going girls, when they had watched Shah Rukh Khan win hearts of millions with "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge". Not even in their wildest dreams had they thought that one day they would star opposite the Superstar, that too step in to Bollywood beside him.

Hailing from Bangalore, both the model-turned-actresses have been great Shah Rukh fans since childhood and have grown up watching almost all his films. Their entry into Bollywood pushed their big-screen careers on a high as their debut films - "Om Shanti Om" (2007) and "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (2008) respectively – became huge hits, definitely courtesy their co-star Shah Rukh Khan.
"Initially, I was very nervous about working with him. But Shah Rukh made it very comfortable for me. We did readings together; we met socially so that we were comfortable when we faced the camera. He's someone I grew up watching," Deepika had said in an earlier interview.
Anushka told the media: "I never had the intention to be an actress. It happened out of luck and I consider myself very fortunate to be part of such a big banner (Yash Raj Films) in my debut film and to be working with a star like Shah Rukh." Her favourite films include Shah Rukh’s "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and "Chak De! India".
Considering the age difference between him and Deepika, Shah Rukh had aired a joke in the media before the release of "Om Shanti Om" about his fear of being called "uncle" by his co-star on the film sets. It is quite evident that in both cases, the age difference did not come on the way of the movies’ success.
As for Shah Rukh, the legend is still as energetic and young at heart, all in the right sense. "I have so much love for Kareena, Deepika, Priyanka and Anushka. They tell me that I am the youngest hero they have worked with. In fact, they say I am younger than the young guys. I work with these young girls without any ulterior motives of seducing them.
"Priyanka still does not call me by my name. I had crowned her at a beauty pageant. She says 'Sir' or just begins the conversation without taking my name. Nobody calls me uncle except Sushmita, she tells me I'm very old," he said happily.
Some other model-turned-actresses who made their debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan are Mahima Chaudhary in "Pardes" (1997), Preity Zinta in "Dil Se" (1998) and Gayatri Joshi in Ashutosh Gowariker's "Swades" (2004).

Saif Ali Khan was recently admitted at Lilavati hospital due to food poisoning. He is on his way to recovery now.

Here’s what the actor said: “It was nothing, really…I returned from Philadelphia from the shooting of Rensil d’Silva’s film on 23rd night. And since I was missing all the Mumbai ka khana, I gorged indiscriminately on local junk food, sev puri bhelpuri, paani puri….puri ki puri fauj went into my stomach.”

The doctors had almost immediately said that there was nothing to worry and that it wasn’t so serious. “It was gastroenteritis. Yes, I’ve been in hospital twice in the recent past. Once it was just appendicitis. And the other time it was far more serious. After going through what I did the last time I’m hardly going to get scared by a little stomach infection.”

For all those who seemed pretty worried, here’s what he finally added: “Actually it’s much less scary than it looks. I’ve got a drip coming out of my hand, so that makes it look kind of serious. But it’s nothing. I’m fine…just a little sleepy. In fact Kareena and I are going on our holiday to the mountains as planned.”

Happy holidays to Saif and Kareena!
